NEVER underestimate Mt. Marcy or any of her companions in the high peaks area, and ALWAYS be prepared. Even thouogh these are 'only' 4-5,000 foot peaks, the weather on or around them can change extremely quickly. This can be very unforgiving land for the unprepared and unskilled...That being said, get out there and enjoy our beautiful wilderness!
