Cozumel has more excursions than pretty much any other port of call. But we didn’t actually do any of them. We had some friends there were staying in town, so we hooked up with them. We spent part of the day at Chankanaab Park. Then we headed in to town for shopping, and dinner before returning to the ship. I would have liked to have seen some of the Mayan ruins.
Here are the ones listed in the Carnival shore excursions book. Not all excursions will be available for every cruise, or during every time of year. Other cruise lines probably offer the same or similar excursions.
Excursions can either be booked through the cruise lines ahead of time, or while on ship. Booking the excursions directly with the operators is also an option. This can save you money, but involves risk if there is a problem.

I want to propose to my girlfriend afeter we do a cookig class at Playa Mia Grand Beach park. Is there a romantic or ideal place to do this while we there?

Dervin, sorry, but I am not familiar with that park. (I have only been to Cozumel the one time) But I am sure you will find a romantic spot. There are so many romantic spots in the Caribbean, including Cozumel.
I proposed to my wife in the middle of park myself, but nowhere as romantic as Mexico. LOL! Good luck, let me know how it goes!

Does anyone know the tour operators for the Caravan by Jeep & beach Combo in Cozumel?

I know you can sign up for the Caravan by Jeep & Beach
Tour if you are on a Carnival Cruise….However, if someone wanted to just book the tour and are not on a cruise….What tour operator can this tour be booked?

Do you have a list of the excursions available on November 9, 2007 for Cozumel, the times, and the prices?
Thanks,
bernie

Hi RJ,
I see alot of “tourist” type stuff but where do the locals go in Cozumel? Any out of the way suggestions for someone who is more interested in the locale itself?
