As long as you know that this is a tourist trap you will have fun, bring a pillow 'cause your butt will hurt. We spent a lot of cash for dirt! Got some interesting colored rocks that brought out the treasure hunter in us. Went to Sheffield Mine in Franklin SC the next day and got there late and were treated like dirt. The people that were there early were given a 35mm film canister to put there gems in. We left and went a few miles to Ruby City and bought well seeded pails of dirt and found lots of rocks some even had saw blade marks on them but still had fun getting dirty in the mud! Every pail also had a arrow head in the bottom (nice bonus)

I remember a comment on the type of travelers who went on cruises as far back as the 60's
There seemed to several types of travelers and tourists who went on vacation cruises -
1) those who ate non stop from the moment the cruise left till it docked back at home port
2) those that drank in the same manner
3) those who were there to partake of the opposite sex and romance
    what a life

Thanks for sharing the travel tips - i had not used orbitz yet
I have been using mainly expedia
Guess I should be looking around and trying other travel sites
You were able to save an additional $ 20 on top of everything else saved on your travel costs

All,

I have eaten at all the Dreamland locations, Mobile, Birmingham, Montgomery, Huntsville, Norcross, Roswell. The ribs at the Birmingham and Roswell seem to be the best. Also, if you are in Lexington, NC try Lexington BBQ Number 1. Voted the best in the world and shown on numerous travel and food network shows.

I would have to steer you away from the Big Agnes Lost Ranger. Although it's rated to 15 degrees, it is far from it. I bought one at an incredible price at REI last year. I've taken it out several times and have woken up cold, sometimes too cold to fall back asleep, most nights. There's been only one of those nights that it dipped near the 20's and I had a bag liner and wore all my clothes. I just returned it to REI and am in search of a warmer bag.

I would love to go on the show because I love the thrill. I am tired of these wimps crying out on tv that they're scared. I am not saying I won't get scared, however I am not gonna make a fool out of meself on tv sobbing. In fact they'd probably have to censor everything I say,lol & they must let me smoke me cigs during the investigation. I'll need something to calm my nerves, lol.

Does anyone know whether I can just take 2 cases but will be allowed my families 4 persons luggage allowance, so that even though the 2 cases will be over the 15kgx2 limit, overall both cases total weight will be under the 60kg(15kg x 4) we will be allowed in total?

Mt. Desert Camapground
>:( Arrived at camp 8am - host gave me map she had marked up then told me of camps sites good for kids (after a 7 hour drive.) Views great, landed at site, unpacked then set up tent and were ready for an adventure when someone came over and told me we had to go to the front office, seems the woman was looking at the map from yesterday. Told us we had to break down tent and move, not wiling to work with us or help us at all, (guy at desk just sort of a jerk about it too) just a get up and move attitude when mistake was theirs. I packed up and moved to another campground. Unless the attitude changes don't bother staying here - you can get the same beautiful view at much friendlier campgrounds 5 minutes down the road.

Our children took us to Medieval Times in Dallas. My husband for Father's Day and myself for my birthday. We had a nice time. We only had 2 disappointments. One it was very hot outside, so we were standing close to the building where it was shady and watching the fish in the moats, but was told to move back out into the hot sun, a little while later a serving wench came around with small glasses of tea. Not everyone likes tea but drank it to keep from dehydrating. Cool water would have been nice.
The second disappointment came when they read off the anniversaries and birthdays, my birthday and age was not announced.
I will still recommend this to our friends and family. We had a nice meal and a good time. My compliments to the chef on the wonderful soup. I would have like to had more, more, more. It was delicious.
To all the participants and especially our man servant, Miguel, thank you for a great show and pleasant meal.

How many of you have been contacted by SeaMiles, with a new twist, they now offer for 10,000 seamiles, a $500 credit along with $2400, and you are "guarenteed" at least a 7 day cruise, 7 nights at a "world class" resort and 5 nights at Pueblo Bonito in Mazatlan, Mexico. Trouble is..I can't get to view the cruises or resorts, unless I commit to the program, and send $$ and give up points!! The rep said I could get it all back, if I didn't find cruises and resorts that were acceptable. Oh sure, pay first, fight them later!!

I'm still trying to get the rep to do the right-thing!

First of all, duh, Caveman is NOT a BBQ place. It is a smoke house. It's not the same. And to the best of my knowledge they still use the same sauce recipe created by Dick Donley himself. I grew up in Kent, and have loved the Caveman since the 70's. And though I live about 2500 miles away now (in the South where there is 'BBQ' on every corner), whenever I am in the area I can't get out of the airport fast enough to make our first stop at the 'Cave'. I think Dave was right...maybe ya'll oughta stick to grilled cheese or maybe a McRib with some of that good ol' Kraft BBQ sauce.
