When I left Amway, I would always stop at the Cave Man and get a sandwich. I liked it, only there was no place to sit down to eat inside, which was no biggie for me, I ate in my rig. I remember someone that worked in there asked me if I tryed my aligator today, while handing me a sample of a piece of smoked meat. To this day, I wondered if it really was gator meat, (since they had no gator on the menu) I will never know, but it was delicious. I grew up in sea tac went there often with my late father , I remember in late 70's early 80's sitting in van out front on rainy days eating bbq and the owner out there with us him and my dad shareing a drink and him bringing us out smoked chicken as a xtra,,,I sure miss them days,,,see you tomarrow boys...Jack I havent been to cave man in 10 years but going there tomarrow for lunch on my way through to port angeles. It is a smoke house. It's not the same. And to the best of my knowledge they still use the same sauce recipe created by Dick Donley himself. I grew up in Kent, and have loved the Caveman since the 70's. And though I live about 2500 miles away now (in the South where there is 'BBQ' on every corner), whenever I am in the area I can't get out of the airport fast enough to make our first stop at the 'Cave'. I think Dave was right...maybe ya'll oughta stick to grilled cheese or maybe a McRib with some of that good ol' Kraft BBQ sauce. First of all, duh, Caveman is NOT a BBQ place. It is a smoke house. Overall it was good, but not great. I have eaten at much better BBQ places. Dreamland BBQ in Tuscaloosa, AL is at the top of my list. Dinosaur BBQ in Rochester, NY is pretty good too.
