- This map is ok if you need the lamination; however, it doesn't have as much detail as a regular Rand McNally map, so be forewarned. It's alright if you're not going anywhere tricky or improvising a lot on the fly.

1 comments about Fodor's Seattle & Vancouver 2000.
- I received my copy of Fodor's Seattle & Vancouver 2000 less than a week ago - we now have airline tickets, reservations in Vancouver and Vancouver Island and Salt Spring Island - and hate that our trip is four months away! The book was invaluable - much is already marked and underlined. Having a separate map for lodging and dining is very helpful - plus we have found Fodor's suggestions for "walking" trips extremely helpful and accurate for trips to Europe and out West. Many of the places where we have reservations also have sites on the Internet - it would have been helpful if those addresses were listed in the book. I'm sure that will soon be happening. I had the recent copy of Gourmet's issue which focused on the best of restaurants - and the Fodor's comments were compatible - right on target! Overall, the book was excellent - but since we will spend more of our time on Vanvouver Island, I wish more detail was given about it.

4 comments about Frommer's Vancouver & Victoria, 2001.
- This is a clever travel book that take you through some great back door destinations. Great for people on a buget, or for those of us that want to go in luxury! This book is packed with Maps and pictures, and helped me and my family plan our trip to Vancouver.
- I love travel guide books and depend on them heavily when arriving at a new destination. This is the first time I purchased a Frommer's and I hated it! A major site to see in Victoria is the Buchart Gardens (it's on the cover of the book) but try finding any information about it in the book! No directions on how to get there or anything. The book focused too much on shopping and not enough on sites to see (parks, etc.). Any good shopper can find a worthy store! Buy a lonely planet book on Victoria, if there is one.
- I recomend this book, everything was curent, prices quoted in the book were acurate. They even convert the currency for you.
- Missing many natural sites for example Shannon Falls. Superficial mention of Richmond which has the best Chinese food in the area. The index is supremely awful ... as if completely generated by computer without any human intelligence involved.
