1. This 2-tape set features "Anchorage to Seward" and "Anchorage to Fairbanks." It is often shown on PBS stations, but the ordering information at the end of the program is incorrect -- it is no longer available through Acorn Media.
   This is an excellent tour of Alaska's interior, showing history, current life, and how important the railroad still is. An aerial visit to Kenai Fjords National Park, and a memorable visit to Denali National Park are depicted. Brief bios of each conductor on the train are included, one being the youngest conductor ever chosen at the time the video was made, another serving the railroad for 30+ years, as well as being an excellent photographer.
   Each time I watch these videos, I'd like to take the train ride!

3. Travel the World - Ireland was a pleasure to watch and very enjoyable. This video covers Western Ireland and the cities of Dublin and Belfast. The narrator/host is Rick Stevens.
   
   I thought Stevens did a great job of showing the many possibilities that are available to travelers. He bicycled along beautiful scenery next to the ocean. He visited ruins of old castles, and churches. The sites and histories of the two major cities, Dublin and Belfast were well presented. Stevens also spent some time in several Irish pubs where he talked with people and discussed the Celtic culture and music.

1. Guyana Ecotourism! I have watched entralled at this 60 minutes VHS and it is unbelievable how exciting it is. Guyana Eco tours or rather ecotourism in Guyana makes island sand and beach pale in comparison. Ecotourism in Guyana is very exciting. As a result of this VHS I took three of my friends to Guyana. One Australian, one German and the other, a Scandinavian female. My friends were so excited, they gushed praises upon the breathtaking beauty of Guyana. I must say this VHS, which we took along as a reminder of the places on it that we wanted to experience, was very acurate describing these places as 'Spectacular Wonders of Nature', as indeed they were! This is truly a remarkable production. I rate this VHS five stars! (I wish they had ten stars to rate this VHS. 3. I am writing a novel that is partially set in Guyana, a country I've never visited. I got this video to give me a feel for the people, the terrain, the cities and wildlife. It has been a big help. I will watch it repeatedly as I write my story!



4. I began writing a book in which some of the characters go to Guyana. Since I've never been to that country, I looked for resources that would help me make my writing authentic. I hit a goldmine in this video which gave me historical facts, scenic views and a description of the wide variety of people who make their home in Guyana. I relied heavily on this video and would recommend it for anyone who plans to visit that beautiful country!

1. This is a great video to watch for anyone that wants to travel to Madrid, or anyone that has been there. It shows more of the inside spots of Madrid, not just the touristy places. The couple that is in the video is very fun to watch and they help show what it can be like for tourists in Spain. The video also shows Segovia, Toledo, and Seville, so someone who goes to Spain can see the other places nearby that they can travel. I only wish it were longer so it could show more of the places you can go in Madrid.
