- I knew when I ordered this DVD, that I wasn't getting the production value that goes into the HDnet discs, but I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality. Image quality looks great on a 32" LCD flat screen TV, as well as an HD computer display. Mac users may have a bit of trouble watching the large WMV file, and navigating the menu, but it seems to work just fine on a PC laptop.

2 comments about Croatia - Dalmatia.
- After watching and using a wonderful video made of favorite sites in Greece before a trip, my wife and I looked forward to seeing something similar prior to our trip to Croatia. What a disappointment! This video looks and sounds as though it were put together as cheaply as possible. It spends minimal time showing some of the wonderful historical, cultural, and social possibilities of the Dalmatia coast, while a great deal of time is devoted to endless scenes of virtually identical beaches, hotel rooms, and campgrounds. We found it to be useless. If we could rate it with negative stars, we would.
- This is a very poorly done video of a lovely area of Croatia. The video has many, long boring scenes of boats, trees, beaches and the narrative is very difficult to understand owing to overly-loud backround noises of cars, motor scooters, hammering, clanking, etc.
I rate this one zero-stars - don't waste your money!

2 comments about Discoveries...America, Vermont.
- Vermont is one of the small New England states that is known to the general public primarily for its Maple Syrup and Fall Colors when the tree leaves turn from green to gold, yellow, and red. "Discoveries America: Vermont" is a full color, sixty minute, highly informative and entertaining DVD documentary that showcases a great more characteristics and history of this north eastern state which has long been a bastion of individualism and patriotism. It once had more than 600 bridges, a legacy honored by the Covered Bridge Museum in Bennington. It is the home of the Moosefest where dozens of moos art sculptures appear around a small Vermont town. Then there is the Teddy Bear Company which is the only United States based manufacturer still making teddy bears for children. In this superbly presented travelog, viewers will also be treated to a visit to the Cold Hollow Cider Company and the cider making process, the Benedictine monks at the Weston Pirory and their music, the Knights Spider Web farm where real spider webs are employed in the creation of art, and so much more. Also very highly recommended for community library collections is another new release in the Bennett Watt Entertainment travelog documentary series: Discover America: Maine.
- Where's the beef? A very brief travelog with nothing you have not seen before. A total waste of time and money.

1 comments about New York: First City of the World.
- Take a stroll in New York and you will dream of it forever and ever. That's what this video is all about, to make you dream of the city, its streets, its museums, its parks, its buildings, old and new, and of course its people in their daily being and existence. Cafés, restaurants, stores, theaters, and all kinds of activities including many museums of course. It insists on diversity and the cultivated and even required differences between and among the people. Ethnic differences with the Chinese of Chinatown, or the Jews and the Blacks, the Irish and the Italians, and so many other Russians or French people. You will not be surprised that the Grenouille is French since all Frenchies are also a froggies jumping and hopping in some pond. The most surprising though is that all the skyscrapers are there standing tall and high, including the ghosts of the Twin Towers. It is impressive to see this skyline dominated by these two massive towers standing out against the smaller buildings more or less gathering around them. That sure is also amazing when we remember what happened to them and how empty the sky looks today without these two giant colossuses watching ,over the herd of all the multifarious New Yorkers. Take a dip in Central park dreaming of Hair, dry up in Washington Square fantasizing about Fritz the Cat, and then just take a plane and go visit Broadway hoping to meet King Kong or to spend a night at the museum.

3 comments about Bermuda.
- Well, this was dissapointing for a few reasons. 1. The DVD format is non standard, you may want to make sure you have either a computer with DVD or many different DVD players to try and play it on. It may or may not run on your machine. It took multiple trys but finally got it running on a Macintosh computer. 2. The presentation was much too short and not in-depth enough for our likes. The Run time on the case says 1 hour and 10 minutes long...not sure what planet these folks live on but this was about 20 minutes at best.
Hugely dissapointing, spend your money on some other product. How come there's no 0 star rating available, this surely qualifies for this??
- I ordered this video as a surprise for my parents for their suprise cruise to bermuda .We all sat down to watch it and it did not work. It never did anything it stayed on the first screen . Very unhappy.
- You may not be aware, but I received a defective DVD, I was unable to view it, so I returned it and received another defective DVD...I am currently waiting for either a satisfactory replacement or a refund.

- I really enjoyed this movie! I've watched several times. It's fun and quirky. It made me want to hit the open road and check out this great land of ours. There are a lot of interesting characters that reminded me about the importance of living your passion...even if that means taxidermy with road kill. Dugout Dick was my favorite! This movie is a must for people with wanderlust in their soul.
- An interesting and funny look at traveling the United States, and the unique people woven in its fabric. Herriott is an informed and skilled filmaker with an open and unique perspective. The film's enthusiasm for the "everyman", no matter how odd or disturbed he and his interests may be, invites the viewer along for the ride. Highly recommended.
- I loved this DVD of interesting people and roadside attractions such as The Concrete Field of Corn, FridgeHenge (Stonehenge but with fridges instead of stones) and the taxidermist!!!! I loved being along for the ride visiting 17 places in America that are truly one-of-a-kind...and fun! These places don't visit themselves people so go buy the DVD, grab a map and roadtrip to adventure!
I've never been disappointed yet with Mr. Herriott's documentaries, especially with his wonderful take on each his subjects and his story-teller eye. It's been a great pleasure to let people know about his latest DVDs as I watch them; they're really fun and "edumacational" too. Double yay! Well, what are you waiting for, people? Tell a friend. Tell a stranger. Tell a talking parakeet. GO! GO! GO!
- This is what documentary making is all about. The process of creating a mechanism that enables you to witness the true craziness of our country. To experience the passion that most people only dream of (perhaps in nightmares) being played out on a daily basis by those who truly 'live their passion.' This is great entertainment and Scott Herriott delivers another fine piece of work. I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
Go ahead.. order yourself a copy - and extras for gifts! Christmas is never far away you know..
