1. I love all of Graingers Australia's series. Most of us don't pick up a book and read about Australia. This is a good interactive way to get to know Australia.

1. I was hopeful this video would help us plan a cruise to the Mediterranean next year but it provided nothing more than I got from books on the subject. No real information on the actual ports, how to get transportation to/from the ship, restaurants or shopping in area. This is just like a little travel log of the interesting tourist spots at each stop. Not bad, but clearly not special in any regard. Too bad.

1. If you have never been to Perth, Australia, then try watching this offering. It gives an accurate tour of the city. Highlighting the nice places. Where "Perth" also includes the port of Fremantle.
   
   Yes, the city overall is indeed as clean and city as the shots of the CBD show. Unlike some cities in other countries, there is little of a skid row. Few homeless. So it is not like Jacobe sanitised this presentation.
   
   While for anyone who hailed from Perth, it can be a bittersweet tang of nostalgia. Seeing Kings Park [note no apostrophe; that got elided decades ago] and the sweeping view of the Swan River and the city centre from the cenotaph in the Park. While Freo has gotten quite yuppified, with all the new fancy boutiques and coffeshops.

1. The video was worth and they do visit some of the predictable places. However, the depth of information is minimal and there is not much kid specific information. Actually, the best part of the video was the special features on recipies and how to make an erupting volcano for the kids.



2. We got this video as part of our pre trip planning to Hawaii's Big Island with our kids. The video is excellent, well produced with great Hawaiian music. I liked the fact that its NOT the usual travel video with a host in every scene doing things that an average visitor would Not actually be doing on vacation. Most travel guide shows are like this, but this Travel With Kids DVD shows a regular family doing fun stuff, and has scenes with the kids actually doing the activities, so it was fun for our kids to watch, and get excited about the vacation. It also shows thie kids getting tired, and some of the long drives, etc, so it shows the good and bad of a trip with kids. I would recommend this DVD to anyone planning a trip to the Big Island for all ages, or even if you have been and want to revisit the scenery, history and culture of the islands. It has good bonus features too. Worth the price!
