1 comments about 7 Days NEPAL.
- This is EXACTLY like Vista Point NEPAL (DVD - 2007)
Except this one is like 20 minutes longers. But its in the same order and same scenery. They just stay in Kathmandu a little longer in this dvd.
I wish I could return vista point and keep this one. I dont need 2 of the same thing.

2 comments about Most Haunted Season 1- Episode 23: Jamaica Inn.
- One of the better MOST HAUNTED episodes featuring a spooky hotel.
HIGHLIGHT: Yvette accidentaly catches an image in the mirror of a long lost soul.....and Ian helps the soul to the light as the image fades.......
Worth your $$ for that eerie segment alone
- For atmosphere and ambiance on a paranormal show, you can't get a place more isolated than Jamaica Inn, on wind blown Dartmore. You can almost hear the creaking of the highway mans corpse from the gallows at the crossroads. The Inn was the basis for the novel of the same name by Du Maurier and has inspired many ghost stories/films and t.v. playwrights. A good addition to your M.H. collection.

3 comments about Video Visits: Discovering France.
- Before this DVD, I hated the others country. But right now, my only desire is to go to the France. It's the most wonderful country in Europe and i'm sure that the frenchs are very very cool ! Buy it !
- I had watched the Paris and France videos by Rick Steves and Globe Trekker before I took the trip there. I found this video very informative, covering various cultural aspects as well as places not mentioned in the other videos.
True, some portion of the video footage appears to be taken years ago, but the commentary is much better in depth than all the others. I wish I had this video before my trip. Highly recommend.
- When I viewed "Video Visits: Discovering France," I wept, but not with nostalgic tears of joy. Rather, I was disappointed to see images of the France of yesteryear. The inclusion of the word "video" in the title should have been a clue.
More than a few scenes smacked of mid-'80s glitz and early-'90s bohemia. Yes, I loved the '80s, too. Prince, Michael Jackson and Boy George were my demigods; Donna Summer, Madonna and Boy George my demigoddesses. However, when I spend my hard-earned money on a travel DVD in anticipation of a forthcoming trip to France, I expect to view a contemporary perspective on a constantly evolving nation, including controversial issues.
It should come as no surprise, therefore, that I shuddered through a Paris fashion segment featuring early-'90s outfits. Why stop with the '80s and '90s? Why not reach back to '50s Paris and show Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir at Cafe Flore, decked out in their bourgeois-best duds while engrossed in an intense, caffeine-induced dialogue?
I was so annoyed with the "Video Visits" DVD, that I gave up on reminiscing my own trip to France and settled for fiction: the Hepburn-Astaire classic "Funny Face." Now, in THAT film, I never mind watching the fabulous fashion parade of yore.
Thank heaven for the Travel Channel.

2 comments about Globe Trekker: Turkey.
- A GREAT DOCUMENTARY ABOUT TURKEY, ANYONE WHOM IS PLANNING TO GO ON A VACATION MUST SEE IT BEFORE DECIDING FOR THE PLACE
- Justine Shapiro, an unattractive spoiled young woman goes to a country with some of the greatest archeological sites in the world, and ends up producing a video featuring (what else?) herself involved in a series of trivial activities. She spends only a few moments in Ephesus because (surprise, surprise) it's too crowded, but spends a lot of time on living in a tree house youth hostel on Mt. Olympus, races through the tunnels of Cappadocia being oh-so-cute, the same with a peasant wedding. And all interspersed with poorly focused and faded footage of the Anatolian plateau taken from bus windows. But if you do buy this bomb, you'll get to see lots of pictures of (what else) Justine Shapiro.
Justine appears, by the way, in a green dress with a hem so high that it barely covers her Thunder Thighs, a curious choice in a country where conservative dress is appreciated.
I've been to Turkey, and it's a fascinating country, but you'll never know it from watching this stinker.
A much better quality video on the same topic is: Biblical Treasures of Turkey
