  1. 'Hypnotic' is the word that comes to mind. I think Mr.Voevodsky creates the best 'feel-good' videos one can find. In simple, well-chosen still shots, he shows us the best beach-beauty Florida has to offer (and that is quite a lot). Shimmering white sand and sapphire sky frame passing catamarans and graceful shore birds busily bobbing for dinner in the gently surging surf. Only natural sounds for background and sunsets that electrify even as they soothe. No sand fleas. No humidity. No sunscreen required. I challenge anyone to stay tense after the first ten minutes of this work of art.

  2. I came across this item by accident, bought it, and think it is one of the best investments I've ever made. This guy is a genius. If this DVD could be marketed in pill form, we'd all be stress-free. If you love Florida, and more specifically, its beaches, you MUST buy this DVD. I would never have believed that watching something on television could be this relaxing, but I do now. The scenes are nothing short of breathtaking, and the colour is just amazing. The only sounds are of the waves...no tinkling music or faux bird calls. You have the option of watching the beaches with or without the subtitles as the locations change, so if you see a scene and think you must go on your next trip south, you can see what beach the segment was shot at. Bahia Honda, here I come! To sum it up in a nutshell, this DVD is a must-buy for beach lovers, especially to 'tide' you over until your next visit.

  3. Unfortunately, it's boring and the sound is not great either.
Better watch it with your own music.

  4. Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3LV1B70X1L4OD SEE for yourself --> VIDEO CLIP FROM DVD <-- CLICK HERE to watch.

  5. I bought two DVDs of Waves Virtual Vacation series. They're Best of Bahama Beaches and Florida Beaches. They're all waste of money because they show the same scenes from the beginning till the end.

All I could see was the waves hitting the beach from one angle. After approximate 10 minutes the camera switched to another angle or another location. But basiclly it still showed the same scenes! That means, I still saw wave hitting the beaches. Once in a while I saw some trees plus the beaches and the waves. I could have made these DVDs with my own camcorder!

They're not worth buying at all.

  1. I am always watching for a good road trip on DVD. The "America's Great Road Trips and Scenic Drives" sounded like it had potential. I didn't expect a lot of time to be spent at each stop because there were so many places of interest listed, but I did expect great photography and it wasn't. They tried to make the southwest look as green as the northeast. The rest of the country covered was green, green, green. The over saturation of colors was sometimes nauseating. It completely ruined the visual enjoyment, greens, blues, reds, oranges, purples, etc. were too intense. I live in the southwest and love the subtly of the natural earthan colors. Besides the poor photography the narrator seemed to be frantically searching through a thesarus for desciptive words. The content was fine for what this DVD promises, but is greatly harmed visually by the saturated colors, thus the two stars. I wish they would redo these DVDs in the "Natural" colors of the region.

  2. Contrary to the comments by the self designated "Artist" in another review of this 6-DVD set of America's Great Road Trips & Scenic Drives, the photography, the colors, and the picture sharpness are outstanding; and, I totally disagree with his obviously distorted evaluation. This set is well worth having and I and my family enjoyed it immensely. If you enjoy travel and nature's beauty you will not be disappointed with this set.

  3. Warning: The first three discs are IDENTICAL to the America's Most Senic Drives discs (I don't mind because I always want a good backup) minus the America the Beautiful bonus disc (which is real good, but has nothing to do with the popular attraction at Disneyland). The last three discs are from a series called Road Trips. These are extremely good, and very informative. The full price of purchase is worth these three disks alone (as there is currently no other way to get the series). Furthermore, I don't regret getting America's Most Senic Drives (even though they are repeats on the first 3 disks) as the bonus disk makes it worth while. I may not regret it, but you might.

  1. First of all I should say I'm am a huge Deftones fan. I think of them as one of the more talented groups who aren't afraid of trying new things and exploring thier own versatility. I also love Hearing songs stripped down for an acoustic performance.

I have to agree with others that his voice is off during the stage performances. My friend and I had a huge laugh during Change(in the house of flies). It almost seems like his jaw is going to be dislocated.

There are definitely some great parts on this dvd and If you're a fan and you're considering this puchase after reading the reviews then for god's sake man, buy it.

  2. Ok, some people have been complaining about Chino having a bad voice live, well what do you expect, he was breathing in SULFUR DIOXIDE all day. And even with that he didn't do too bad at all (Other than Digital Bath and Change, those weren't too good, but those are awfully hard songs to sing in the first place). Besides, it isn't like he pulled an Ashlee Simpson and lip synced, or cancelled the show, he still sang live because he has the guts to. The instrumentals were fantastic, but the recording could be somewhat better. He has some amazing screams such as at the end of Headup and Be Quiet and Drive.

  3. i really liked this dvd, and this is coming from a long time fan of the deftones, i was just as much as surprised as the real "hardcore" fans who own bootlegs of "linus" - but the thing to remember that a bands journey into the unknown is just that, unknown, this is obviously a new turn for the deftones, i commended them for this and still watch this dvd today- ill admit as well that im not too happy with where theyre going as far as new material, anyone who has heard adrenaline, around the fur or white pony knows what i mean,it really is too convoluted, a more simplistic approach i think would be...most likely key to their successful return, something that identifies with the deftones we used to know but at the same time is innovative. as fans we have watched the deftones grow up from the angst ridden rockers we initially knew them to be,to the more experienced and well off musicians we know today. all in all i think this dvd is worth a shot, it has its hardcore , like 5 second clips and its calmer acoustic and beautiful setting clips as well. if it isnt what you had thought it to be, throw it up on ebay and cut your losses i guess.

  4. This is a must have for any Deftones fan. Great acoustic mixes with live concert footage.

  5. Im a huge Deftones fan and as soon as I saw the video for knife prty (acoustic) on youtube i had to get it. Overall I really liked the dvd, but I didnt like the fact that some songs would transition from the regular rock version to acoustic, it kinda ruined it. It is worth a look though, the songs sound great in acoustic. This is a great band.

  1. Ms Megan is childish, rude, condescending and immature. Despite of her efforts to totally ruin this effort, the information and visuals aren't a total loss. It's a real embarrassment for both cultures.

  2. The interesting part is Beijing; the frustrating part, Megan. We get way too much of her effort at a star turn. Still, you can come away with some sense of Beijing, if you're able to muster some patience with her.

  3. Having been to Beijing myself, I thought this was a wonderful show covering much of the vast city....many places that I myself visited. Megan is funny and quirky and the locals really seem to like her. I've seen a great many shows with her as the host and this has got to be one of her best! Well done.

  4. I am going on a tour in November to Beijing China and this DVD is so today and made it exciting to watch and see people of today in this video.
It's a must see before traveling to Beijing.

5 comments about Alaska's Inside Passage.
  1. This is my first review of anything. Getting ready for our trip next month to Alaska, this DVD sounded perfect. However, of the 4 of us going on the cruise, only one stayed awake long enough to watch the entire film. You would get more out of watching a PBS special or the travel channel.

  2. I got two different Alaska DVDs from the library for my elderly in-laws to watch. They have always wanted to go but probably will not make it there because of their health. We watched Alaska's Inside Passage and Discovering Alaska. This one has beautiful photography, and is well narrated. The colors and views were breathtaking. However I agree it was somewhat hard to stay awake for because it was a little repetitious. Also, I hadn't realized before what the "Inside Passage" is, so I was disappointed there was no information on the rest of Alaska. It's well worth watching, as long as you realize it is only about that one geographical area. (Fortunately the other DVD talked more about the whole state, however that one was very dated and the photography was disappointing.)

  3. This video contained useful information for our upcoming cruise to Alaska. Scenery is beautiful. Video quality could be a bit better.

  4. This is one of two DVDs on Alaska I purchased prior to our upcoming Alaska cruise. It has some interesting information and some decent photography. Production and content are OK, but not as nice as the other DVD I purchased at the same time. Is it worth buying? yes.

  5. If you are planning a cruise to Alaska, this dvd helps you see what is there, and helps you plan excursions during your cruise. Alaska is a beautiful state, and that is an understatement.

5 comments about Britney Spears - Live and More!.
  1. The music is awesome, the extras are terrible. I love the concert in Hawaii, but the interviews and the snl extras seem like fillers and that is never a good thing since it seems like they could have added more footage from her other concerts. The videos are great and opps I did it again is a tremendous viedo with Spears wearing a tremendously sexy red outfit which makes her look simply astounding. This is a very good video that should be bought by fans of Spears and if you like good pop music in general.

  2. This text is live!

    And more! Look below!

    Britney Spears sucks. She lip-synchs!

Wow! It's live, and more! OMG!!!

And it's free! Actually, you gain money from not buying the other Live And More, the crappy one from lip-syncher and fake Britney Spears.

  3. If you've ever contemplated if teen queen Britney Spears can actually sing like she does on her hit-records, then this DVD is for you! No more doubt here, folks. La Brit delivers, both signed and sealed and showcasing that sexiness that we all have come to know and love. Live and More! is a must-buy for any Britney Spears fan. This girl has definitely come a long way since she debuted in 1998 with her No. 1, Grammy-nominated smash "...Baby One More Time."

  4. I love Britney to bits and pieces, but I have to skip Woodrow the Homeless Man and the talk show with the man and woman. The Woodrow part is so ugly! He looks like a grouchketeer from Sesame Street! The talk show part just stinks! It's so ugly, too! I reccomend this, but I suggest you buy the DVD so that you can skip Woodrow and the talk show.

  5. This DVD chronicles the entire `Oops I did it Again' Era and has music videos, live performances, outtakes, and SNL appearances from that famous 1999-2000 phase.

Sadly, looking at this now only reminded me of how good an entertainer Britney really was. Love and marriage do weird things to people I guess, and Britney's downward trend began when she met and married Kevin Federline. Isn't it a shame when this happens to female singers? Whitney Houston signed her life away the day she met Bobby Brown and she still hasn't regained her former glory. The sad part is, Britney is actually a gifted entertainer. Like Madonna, she has no perceivable skills to speak of, except for her moderately good looks. However, when you use that in conjunction with above-average dancing and some killer pop tunes, you have magic, as we can witness on this DVD.

My favorite portions of this include her infamous SNL appearance as a former Mousketeer and she disses herself (should be seen to be believed). And then there those amazingly energetic dance moves and performances she became legendary for. The best on this is for `The Beat Goes On', a cover of the Sonny and Cher song, and subsequent versions of `Oops' itself. In fact, the videos for Oops and `Stronger' are included alongwith this fantabulous package.

Of all the Britney DVDs out there, this by FAR has the most content. In fact you can let it play and it just goes on and on, and is never boring. If you were a fan of Spears during the Oops Era, this DVD has everything you could possibly want. Its full of stuff, believe me, unlike so many of her other DVDs that were low on content and extras. Right now, its second to her Greatest Hits DVD, which cant be beat, for obvious reasons.

    Must-Buy.

  1. The boyz prove once again that they are the best group EVER! their vocal talent is shown here in a all new light thanx to the acoustic renditions here! only a few quibbles though; poor Mike wasn't there (not his fault) and they did not sing On Bended Knee (properly anyway) and I'll Make Love To You. All in all fantastic. Worth every penny.

  2. This much-anticipated DVD finally arrived to my house last night, and it completely blew me away. As an aspiring R&B singer, I look to Boyz II Men as one of my main influences. The presentation is wonderful, and the vocals, despite Mike's absence, are simply heavenly, especially on a jam-session-style improvisation of "Never Go Away". Their candid interviews bring insight into many facets of the lives and careers of one of the most talented vocal groups ever. If you like good music, I strongly recommend this item.

  3. if you want to LOSE you're money buy this DVD

  4. i've always been a fan since the early days. i'd bought all the albums etc... and saw this advertised in dvd magazine. of course i bought it!! what can i say? being a musician/vocalist myself these guys really make me sick! there harmonies and awareness of each other is frightening. all the favourites fom all the albums sang acoustic in seoul with the mountains as a backdrop and the snow on the ground. these boys are the undisputed kings of close harmony vocal. a great buy even for non boyz 2 men fans. buy it now!

  5. At first,i gat this masterpiece from ma brother as a birthday present, tho' it was on vhs.a close friend borrowed it and he wont return it!Hence, I decided to roll to AMAZON;this time i purchased the dvd fomat.Dam!See,the diff btw Boyziimen and anyother is that they sing music not just songs.

I am a singer/song writer myself and voices like those of the philly brothers dont come by any means cheap. The blend of their delicious harmony brings laughter to a dyin' heart. In North Korea, the weather is cold and freezin still their voices is nothin but pure bliss. Uhhh oh.

I adore them to that extent where i have every album and possess every selection that ever came out.As a matter of fact, i own a spanish version of "I'll make luv ii u$QThey inspire my musical career every day that passes by.

Therefore, i must stress that even if, this dvd cost $50,i wont vacillate to have it as part of my selection.hey, are u still readin this, u should be on ur way to the store right now....and hey, go to AMAZON because u wont find it at HMV!
