1 comments about Globe Trekker: California.
- The DVD was somewhat entertaining, but lacking in data on California. I was looking for the California story, not one person's personal experience in a few locations.

5 comments about Californian Dreams / WAVES: Virtual Vacations For Relaxation.
- The Waves Virtual Vacation series is perfect for anyone who has spent or always wanted to have spent time in these environments, re-living the sound of the crashing surf, the distant fog horns, the local wildlife, and the grandeur of the sunrise and sunset. There is something very calming and hypnotic about these digital diversions -- a great escape from work, the family, and the daily stressors and anxieties of life. Whether you're meditating, having trouble falling asleep, or just closing your eyes to relax, you'll find yourself carried away to another time and place just long enough to make a difference.
- I really love this! It is so relaxing and calming. The scenes are just breathtaking and you are mesmerized by their beauty.
As an unexpected treat, my cats love it too! They try sooo hard to get the birds and one cat will sit and watch it for hours! I enjoy just letting it play in the background as I am working, such a wonderful sight when I look away from my computer screen for a moment. Total joy, I can't recomend this enough!
- I have been looking for just such a video for a very long time. I have bought others, not the wave series, and been very dissapointed with their lack of beauty and quality. This video California Dreams is such a restful and beatiful video it is truly as if you are on vacation while you are watching.I plan on getting others in the series and also giving them as gifts.
- I have owned this video as well as the California Zen video for a couple of years and the quality is top notch! The sounds of the waves are relaxing and the sunsets are awesome! This is the perfect video to watch after a long day or just when you need to get that feeling of just lying on your favourite California beach. Awesome!
- I find choosing a favorite among Greg Voevodsky's remarkable 'oevre' very near impossible. One must choose among equally stunning jewels. This one is a contender, though, because it offers pristine, unhurried views of California's awesome coastline. I've personally viewed all these places and loved them on sight: the riveting Golden Gate towering over San Francisco Bay; the astonishing rock formations of the Big Sur; the white sand and blue sky of Santa Monica; and much more. If anything, revisiting them in Greg's elegant style is an improvement on the originals! No driving, no distractions, no searching for the ultimate view. Greg handles all that for the viewer. And does so with glorious finesse: long, still shots that speak for themselves; only the soft, ambient sounds of the places with their rhythmic waves and the occasional gull 'playing chicken' with the surf.To my knowledge this restrained approach is nowhere else available. All the other nature videos, feel obliged to throw something extra in to 'enhance' the experience, all of which impresses me as 'elevator music'. Not Greg. He thinks the place is enough. So do I. I'm working on collecting all his works. Do yourself a gentle favor. Do likewise.

1 comments about Autumn In Vermont.
- Although this may be a lovely video about fall in Vermont, I was extremely disappointed that it is only about 23 minutes long. It is advertised both on the outside of the cover and on the DVD itself with a running time of 1hr,10 minutes. Sorry, I cannot recommend this DVD due to fact it is not worth the price.

2 comments about The Oregon Coast - DVD.
- It all starts at the upper most point on the Oregon Coast in Astoria. From there it goes down the coast visiting cities and towns. Historic and scenic spots including lighthouses are featured. The Oregon Coast is so beautiful. Some of the sunsets are remarkable.
I thought the visits to the state parks and many interpretive centers added to the program. It even did a nice job covering the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The jelly fish were great. Watching them to music was like a ballet. It was well done. Narration, script and music were all executed well. The DVD menu was great for jumping around too.
- This has nice images and interesting info of the Oregon Coast...a little short would be my only complaint...for a $25 DVD, it only has about 50 minutes of footage, but I guess that's just because there isn't a huge market for this kind of movie.

2 comments about Spanish Festival - A Naxos Musical Journey.
- This film are the one of a Naxos Musical Journey DVD series. The classic music are very easy listening, also beautiful. The image quality looks like shot by digital camera. mostly of image quality are good. some parts are excellent. less 8 percent of image are little blur, or I should said too softly? because the focusing not very sharp as others present.
However, the scenic in this film are very beautiful and nice to watch it. I found even you turn the subtitle on, no further text will show on screen. This kind of films usually have description of the scenic and its story. I think this feature can be enhanced in their furture release DVDs. The picture is beautifully rendered, with warm and fully saturated hues to make you feel like you are really in there. Colors are rich and nicely balanced, most of the image are sharp and finely detailed. However, some part appear slightly soft. The Dolby(r) Digital 5.1-channel soundtrack is an impressive listening experience that surely present the effect for symphony. The dts soundtrack provide you more rich sound and surround effect than Dolby(r) Digital 5.1-channel soundtrack. I just can say, even only listing the music also worth to buy this DVD title. The superbly recorded classic music has good spatial depth and penetrates the listening space at times, substantially heightening the emotional intensity. I suggestion the dts soundtrack will be the only choice for this DVD when you listening. By the way, I'll buy the other DVD titles of a Naxos Musical Journey DVD, because I saw the other titles preview in this DVD. You will like the music they choose, and you can treat the image like the gift in these DVD titles. If there have more detailed descript of the scenic will get the four and an half star from me.
- This is a very nice, scenic and musical video with a major flaw. This flaw is at the very beginning when they are showing what would have been a beautiful scene of the Don Quijote and Sancho Panza statutes at the Plaza de EspaƱa in Madrid. The statutes are surrounded by scaffolds, as it seems that they were either cleaning them or doing some maintenance. They should have waited a couple of weeks and film this later when the scaffolds were not there. They stick out like a sore thumb! Or they should have gone somewhere else to film. If they wanted a statute of Don Quijote, there is a nice one in Ciudad Real (La Mancha).
