1. This is not one of the best Hidden Treasures videos. However, It does blow the Globe Trekker - Greece DVD out of the water. This video does a lot better job of portraying Greece, that's why I hesitate to only give it three stars. But, The Athens, and Out of Rome episodes are a tad boring.
   
   I did, however, enjoy the Greek Island episode where I fell in love with Santorini. Rudy Maxa did a great job of portraying this lovely island. I can't wait to go.
   
   Nonetheless, you should give this video (and Greece) chance. I haven't been that much of a Greece fan, but since I've watched this video it is growing on me a little. It has so many many wonderful, archaeological sights!

1. I originally bought this 4-DVD set because I'm interested in learning more about Canada, and in my opinion the title of the set, "Canada By Rail," implies that it IS mostly about Canada. However, now that I've seen it I think this is really more intended for train enthusiasts. It's true that there is some very good footage here of Canadian scenery, but the overall focus is really on the trains themselves, specifically those of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Often there is shot after shot of the trains and many of their cars moving by, with the narrator describing the trains as well as railway history and facilities in quite much detail, while overall there is not much information about Canada or its history and wildlife here.
   
   The DVDs vary a good deal in this. For instance, the second one in the set, A Yellowhead Winter, is the one that focuses most on Canadian scenery, and is very pleasant to watch with its narration minimized and accompanied by a nice musical score written for the film. The last two, "Canadian Pacific's Mountain Sub and Rogers Pass" and "Canadian Pacific Heart of the Rockies" are almost entirely about the trains, with mostly close-up shots of them so you don't see much else. The first one, "Tracks of the Beaver," provides a fair amount of scenery, but the amount of train footage can get tedious if you're not particularly interested in them, and the music on that DVD is more like bad elevator music that is often too loud.
   
   The title "Canada By Rail" is also misleading because we actually just see WESTERN Canada, and a pretty limited area even of that, mostly along the border of Alberta and British Columbia, and not very far north. Considering all this, it seems likely to me that the films were originally not intended to be a set, but were probably made for different purposes and later cobbled together as a set. The photographic quality is quite good, and is presented on these in full screen. Each DVD runs from 75 to 85 minutes. If you're really into trains, "Canada By Rail" is probably a good set for you, but if you're mainly interested in Canada I would only recommend A Yellowhead Winter, although the whole 4-DVD set is just a few dollars more.

1. Great quality, professionally produced, fast paced, exciting ecotour. A must-have for Guyanese, Caribbean people or anyone interested in travelling that part of the world or anyone who is into seeing Earth's own spectacular show.



2. This DVD is indeed breathtaking it gives you an educational background to Guyana South America. I often recall the lengths I had to go through explaning to friend in Europe and others parts of the world about my country some people thought it was Ghana in West Africa, I would say no Guyana South America the only english speaking country. A Tropical Adventure truly is explicit and parents should allow there children to sit and look at this lovely breath taking DVD. I also recommend it to environmentalist, and if you are from Guyana and has never really visited the riverin areas here is your opportunity to travel the beautiful country of Guyana a land of one people one nation and one destiny.



3. I have watched entralled at this 60 minutes DVD and it is unbelievable how exciting it is. Guyana Eco tours or rather ecotourism in Guyana makes island sand and beach pale in comparison. Ecotourism in Guyana is very exciting. As a result of this DVD I took three of my friends to Guyana. One Australian, one German and the other, a Scandinavian female. My friends were so excited, they gushed praises upon the breathtaking beauty of Guyana. I must say this DVD, which we took along as a reminder of the places on it that we wanted to experience, was very acurate describing these places as 'Spectacular Wonders of Nature', as indeed they were! This is truly a remarkable production. I rate this DVD five stars! (I wish they had ten stars to rate this DVD. 4. I wanted to go to guyana,but my mom wanted to see it first,so she bought this dvd and it was great!She loved guyana so much she said we could go there this summer!



5. This video was a REAL dissapointment. The entire movie looks like a vacation video of someone who had to much rum. What a waste of money.
