2. This is a wonderful gift for anyone who has a Tennessee heritage - and will be a treasure to anyone who calls Tennessee home and "lives" there through history, family, memory and spirit. The pictures and words paint a wonderful tapestry that will ring familar with anyone who shares their "roots" with the wonderful people of Tennessee. It was a special gift to me and I have, in turn, given it to many who share a connection to the colorful and distinct culture of this state and its people.

1. As Middle Tennessee transplant and new cyclist I was reluctant to get out of my neighborhood till reading this book. The format was clear and I could venture out without risking getting totally lost or on some super dangerous roadway. The commentary that accompanies each route lends interest to the rides and the numerous hints and guides for more information in the back were extremely helpful. This book is worth reading even for an experienced cycling native Nashvillian.

1. I have purchased Insight maps and guides for many locations so I didn't hesitate to buy this Nashville map. Don't waste your money! The map is horrible; it's difficult to read and there is no inset of the downtown area where you'd really like to see details of the streets. The local maps provided free by Grayline tours, etc. are much better than this map.
