1 comments about AAA Spiral Barcelona, 3rd Edition (Aaa Spiral Guides).
- My first experience with the AAA spiral series was the one on Florence. It was such a handy book to have with me at all times, so when we began plannning our trip to Barcelona - I purchased the one on it and I am equally as pleased. This gives a very concise, informative and colorful view of the cities. Easy to carry with you and offers up all the important information as you are exploring. I wish they published books on more major travel destinations. A definite "thumbs up"!

1 comments about Hammond International: Madrid (Hammond International (Folded Maps)).
- This folds open into a huge map with lots of detail. Has an insert map of the Metro (subway system) plus includes all the Metro stops on the big detailed map also so it is easy to find the stops. It also has maps of the area around Madrid and a regional map for the Madrid area.
If you have not been to Madrid before, I highly recommend that you have a good map like this one. It is made with very good quality paper and we folded it over & over in many different ways without it falling apart. We were very glad that we ordered this map from Amazon before we left. We studied it before our trip to get a feel for where things were and that really helped a lot when we got there.

5 comments about SASS Spain or Shine (S.A.S.S.).
- I am an adult reader and had only intended on reading a few pages into this book before giving it to some of my younger family members as a gift. However, Elena's character is so engaging that I could not put the book down until I finished it. This is a great book for young women. I strongly recommend it.
- Overshadowed by her other siblings, Elena feels like she never stands out. So she takes a once in a lifetime opportunity to study for a semester in San Sebastian, Spain. In Spain, she quickly becomes friends with outgoing Jenna, which leads her to experience many new things in Spain, from visiting Tapas bars to relaxing on the beach everyday. But Elena also has her playwriting on her mind as she wants her play to be selected to be performed for the school. Adding to her stress is the cute boy Miguel she has her eyes on. But when Elena meets her namesake, her great aunt Elena, things seem to make sense and Elena learns that she shouldn't feel hidden by other people.
I thought that this book was cute. I love reading books that take place in other countries, so I loved the descriptions of San Sebastian and Madrid. I think that there was a good mix of everything in this book;romance, culture, and suspense. I was a bit disappointed in the ending. But overall, I enjoyed reading this book. As this is only one of the books in the Students Across the Seven Seas series, I look forward to reading the others soon.

Preteen, teen, and young adult book reviews and recommendations
- it was a good story, not written that well. but i recomend it.
- I really liked this book because it shows other girls like me that being shy doesn't mean that you are not creative or fun or strong. Elena is all of those things. I really liked reading about traveling abroad because I hope to go too someday. Maybe I'll go to Spain.
