- Frommer's latest travel guide for Spain is ready for the new millennium with up-to-date information including email addresses for many hotels and establishments. I liked the organization of the book, starting with "The best of Spain" overview, planning essentials and then sections for each region. As with other Frommer's guides, each region includes information on the history and culture as well as notes for many cities. Practical information on where to stay, eat, visit and shop are included for each area. A new section at the end of the guide includes numerous web sites for more information. I found this to be of significate use -- particularly for on-line reservations and locating cyber-cafes (an excellent way to keep in touch on the road, if needed). Included is a detachable full-color, full-sized detailed map of Spain and Portugal. This version of Frommer's guide does not contain the "If you have two/three/fou days..." sections recommending itineraries for the major cities. I think this might be a good thing.
