1. I bought this book for a weeklong driving tour through North and South Dakota, and found this book invaluable. If you are interesting in the natural resources and park systems in these places, it has lotsa info you won't get in maps (especially many beautiful color photos) altho the advice given wasn't always useful.



2. I've been to South Dakota a number of times and have had many questions about the landscape, etc. This book has the answers and the pictures to go with it. I especially appreciated the glossary and the further-reading list.

1. If you enjoy the Guatemalan hand woven fabric, then this is a must read. The author takes us into the daily lives of these women living in a small mountain village. Included are beautiful photos of each woman and her story. Also are several photos of the village children, animals, and more. Reading each person's story is fascinating and surprising. These Guatemalan women have incrediable endurance, strength and courage. Yet with their hard lives, they still somehow make time to weave threads into beautiful designs as their way to express the artist and beauty within themselves.

1. The book was very helpful to define our Itinerary, however, we kept on bumping into the same people over and over because they had the same guide. I guess it is very popular because it is good. The only thing is, when you are abroad you don't want to be cooped up with people from where you came from. Also, it was hard to find good places to eat using the guide. There are also mistakes in the maps and street address, watch out when taking taxis to double check locations!
