- We checked out the Mobil Travel Guide New England 2005 from the library for our trip to Maine. We thought it was so good, that on our return we ordered it to have for the other states. The hotels, inns, and restaurants were very accurately described. No disappointments.
- The Mobile book has great maps. However, the layout of the book other than the maps is not user friendly. When we traveled in New England, we went to "regions" not just cities. The book is laid out with recommendations under each city. Some of the other books we used had regional groups rather than just cities. The maps were the most detailed and were what we relied upon most of the trip.

- I always have these maps with me when I go for a ride and also keep one in my car. It fits in my inside pocket when I'm on my bike so they're perfect for motorcycles. I've done most of the suggested rides on the New Hampshire map and they are all scenic and good riding...some rides I would never have done if they were not suggested on the maps.

1 comments about Quiet Water Canoe Guide: Maine.
- This book is an absolute neccessity for anyone planning to do extensive flatwater paddling in Maine. The book divides maine into regions and then gives detailed descriptions of the most choice paddling spots in those regions. Each overall description entails a map of the lake, general decription of the lake (scenery, fish species, things to look for etc.), campsite reservation numbers if neccesary, and most important DETAILED DIRECTIONS. Unless you are confining your paddling to the southern region, most of the lakes will require driving on winding dirt logging roads that can confuse even the most seasoned forester(I know I was one). However with this book, I was able to find the put in with ease every time. Happy Paddling!

1 comments about Nature Walks in Southern New Hampshire: Nature Rich Walks from the Connecticut River to the Atlantic Ocean.
- As a Trail guide I think it definately needs more description of the trail and put trail names on the maps. It's nice to go by a map once you are on a trail, but these maps leave out a lot of important trail markers and was very hard to follow. Usually on any given trail there are a lot of loops you can take, nothing was specified on these maps. The description on what is on the trail is pretty nice, but using the maps turned out effortless. You need to concentrate more on the trail so people don't get lost.
