1. I stayed in Prague, Paris, Madrid, Barcelone, Rome, London and Amsterdam. It was totally useless.
   If you are from a party country like Argentina or South America, or your are looking for places where local goes, this is not your guide.
   I know it is difficult to make a guide because places changes all the time, BUT I think this guide only looks for places that you can find in USA.
   
   It did not work for me...
   Of course, it is usefull to have a book with all the party places, but, on the road, just ask the guy of the hotel/hostel...or better...be social with the locals man!



2. I just got back from a semester abroad in Florence, Italy, and I was so glad I brought this book. It had great suggestions of all types of places to go out at night. The best part was that it gave a list of the "Hotspots" for every night of the week. This was helpful because it automatically clued you in on what places would be packed that night, even if you didn't know a single person in the city. If you plan on partying in Europe, this guide will tell you everything you could ever wish to know.

The book has detailed information for Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Capri, Florence, Ibiza, London, Madrid, Munich, Pamplona & the Running of the Bulls, Paris, The Rivieras, Rome, Venice but that is it. If you are going to alot of these places, this book will probably benefit you, but this is my third trip to Europe and I'm going to different cities not listed in this book, so it's completely not helpful. It's also kind of hard to follow and understand, picking 4 different types of travelers that you have to relate to, and not one of us on our trip did... Like I said, if you are going to many of these cities, it may be useful, but I highly recommend Let's Go Europe 2007. It was actually cheaper, includes every one of countries in Europe and I have yet to find a city it doesn't cover with very detailed info. and just as much or more of the party information found in Party Europe, written much better and easier to understand.



4. An excellent resource.
   
   One caveat: this book does not cover areas outside the most popular tourist destinations [but by inference it does provide what one may want to look for in those locales].
   
   Combine this with a good general Europe guide [we highly recommend Rick Steves' Europe Through the Back Door 2007] and give them a read BEFORE your departure and you will be doing yourself and your travel party a great service.



5. this is a great book for those who are looking to experience europe's party scene with many of the top spots in different countries covered. A+

1. My wife and I found this book to be quite useful when we visited Belgium. It really enhanced our visit, including us finding the little-known Jeruselem Church at the edge of town.

1. While this publication is older, the information provided by Midelfort is still the most detailed and complete analysis of the witchcraft accusations in Germany. Not only does Midelfort address the huge number of trials which occured in Germany between the years 1562 and 1684, but he also explains the connection that these trials had on both the Protestant and Catholic villages in this time period. Anyone who is interested in the unique witch trials of Germany should own this book!



2. I ve been reading many books on the subject, but It s the first time I really see a study not based on second hand and printed sources.

   The author starts from the point that such a complex social phenomena must be studied on the particular points i.e. from the original manuscripts in a particular region, and not the contrary.

   He also reviews previous studies on the matter and points out
   their mistakes that sometimes became legends accepted for those not interested in a serious research.

   It is also a must for anthropology/Psychology students.

1. Terrific compilation of every village, hamlet, point-of-interest, and topographical feature, just about! Easy to "navigate" the maps, as Michelin has left nothing-to-chance. Whether motoring, or traveling by train, this guide will enlighten, add much to any journey, and answer the age-old question, "Are we there, yet?"

1. Planet Germany celebrates the clash and camaraderie of two cultures as the members of Dobson's (British) family valiantly struggle to forge a life for themselves in the Rhineland. At once subtly humorous and out-and-out hilarious, the book had me ROFLMAO while pausing (on the floor) to read passages to my husband.
   
   The book opens with Dobson's description of a festive gathering of friends for New Year's Eve. The festivities rapidly transmogrify into slapstick fiasco as the cultural disconnect becomes glaringly apparent. The Windsor soup, which Dobson has so meticulously prepared in a effort to impress her company with British haute cuisine, results in "a tureen full of brown sludge that looks suspiciously like phlegm." Needless to say, the Windsor sludge remains untouched by guests and family alike.
   
   During the course of dinner, Dobson's friend, Birgit, attempts to persuade the children--who greet the roasted bird Dobson proudly serves with "Eurgh! Turkey!"-- that turkey is "just like chicken, only drier and with less flavor."
   
   When Birgit refers to the Dobsons as a "dysfunctional English family", the following exchange ensues:
   "'Dysfunctional? What do you mean, dysfunctional?' My jaw has dropped open.
   'I don't mean there's something wrong with your family,' Birgit reassures me. 'The English nation per se is dysfunctional. Don't take it so personally.'"
   
   The jimmy rigged fireworks episode, at evening's end, is too good to miss.
   
   And the hilarity continues. As I'm only halfway into the book, I can't possibly give it away nor would I want to. But do yourselves a favor. Buy the book and pick up a dozen more as holiday presents. Your loved ones will most definitely toss the remote control and settle down to a joyful literary romp that they'll never forget!



2. Planet GermanyThis book is so much fun! It's a heartwarming combination of the most entertaining stories, funny anecdotes, and truisms. I can't put it down!
