1. I have visited South Beach eight times in the past three years and found it very exicting. This book has helped me understand the beginnings of South Beach and the meaning behind Art Deco. Although I fell in love with South Beach at first sight this book makes me love it even more. The book was very well written and the illustrations were very nice. Now that I have read this book I would like to purchase more on South Beach. I hope to visit South Beach again soon and this book makes a good directory.



2. The book "South Beach" is a great read. It covers the death and rebirth of this phat ocean front town. After reading this book it made me want to learn more about Art Deco and how Art Deco made South Beach. I recently went to South Beach and had a blast. If you can't visit South Beach, reading this book will let you know how this exciting place came about.

1. Hello! Please read the previous reviews with the knowledge that they were written for older editions of this book, written by different authors. I've lived next to WDW for ten years and this edition was rewritten to exclude any previous errors. I'd appreciate it if you'd judge this edition on its own merits. If you've read this edition, I'd appreciate your comments and reviews. Thanks!



2. This book was as interesting as it is helpful. It had a few pointers in it that the others didn't. The post-it notes come in handy to mark the items to re-read or remember before you leave on your trip.

1. True Secrets of Key West is WONDERFUL! I lived in Key West for years and was always annoyed by all the books people wrote that didn't know the REAL story. Books that claimed to be the real story...but they changed the names, dates and circumstances. This is one that got it right AND it was very funny to read. I give True Secrets of Key West my highest recommendation.



2. This book filled me in on Key West's Culture and History in a very funny and down to earth kind of way. It answered all my questions so that I wouldn't sound like a dumb tourist when I got down there on my Honeymoon.



3. Cute book, mildly amusing, worth the few minutes it takes to read. Does make me want to go back to Key West, but that's not too difficult.



4. I've lived in Key West almost 20 years and this is the book I buy for anyone staying with me. In a fun way it covers the history, politics and social fabric of this quirky community.
   
   I suggest you buy it before you visit and make note of the places mentioned in it that you might want to see. If you visit their website you can also download a free map with addresses of everything mentioned.



5. We enjoyed this book very much - we read it on our way down to Florida and it truly helped us understand what a special place it is! I purchased it based on other reviewers comments and we did not go wrong....
