- This Book I felt was one of the best books'. Before I tell You about about how I felt how the book was, I would first like to give you a breif Summary of this book. It is about This person by the name of Sir James Eckert, Baron de bois de Malencontri et Riverroak. In this book It was About these seaserpents who wanted two kill the Dragons on england ( Also Sir James Who Has The Power to turn into a dragon at the wave of a hand ). These Searpents were not all that were in this book, No there Was Things like a giant Squid Who wanted to take controle of all the magickians in this world, And a BIG Freindly Seadevil by the name of Rrrnlf. Anyway These magickians were all over the world but one of the most renoun and best loved as a freind by jim is Carolinus. Carolinus Is one of three AAA+ Magickians in this magical domain. He is jim's mentour and advisor as a junior magickian. Now enough about the book before I tell you everything ( I geuss you will have to just read the book for yourself!!!) This book ( One of seven in a series ) is to me one of the best books that I have ever read. It contains More Magickians,Dragons,Kinghts in armour and a 1000 things Than any other book that you have ever read. It has a very intriging plot to this story. What I find is that gordan trie to enter in a few jokes here and there that I believe help perkin up a good book. Thats all that I have to say, and if your intreseted in these types of books here are the names of them. 1. The dragon and the George 2. The dragon Knight 3. The dragon on the boarder 4. The dragon at war 5. The dragon, the earl, and the troll 6. The dragon and The djjin( last word might be wrong!) 7. The dragon And the Gnarly King. These fine books you can find Right here on Amazon.com
- If you have only read the first three of the series you must keep going. This book continues the saga of Jim, Brian,Daffyd, Giles, Secoh, Carolinus and more. The ending of this book over takes all the others in the series. If you can't find this book here keep looking becuase it is well worth it. This has the only ending in which it is possible to guess and makes realistic sense. This is the one book that really involves every charater in a major role and has a most impressive ending. Read this book if you liked any of the other at all.
- I highly recommend this book and all the "Dragon and the George" sequels. IT was a wonderful series, written by an amazing SciFi/Fantasy author!

1 comments about 50 Hikes in Connecticut: From the Berkshires to the Coast.
- Connecticut residents who love the outdoors should consider this guide. The Hardy family offers an impressive array of hikes for people of all skill levels.
Each hike is thoroughly researched and includes detailed maps and photographs. I relied heavily on the maps and found them to be 100% accurate. The site descriptions are especially helpful. They include driving directions, parking instructions, and well-informed commentary about the trail itself. You will know precisely what vegetation or bird life to look for at specific points during your trip. Keep this book open during your hikes to fully appreciate the experience. Logical organization enables efficient selection of hikes by region or length. Readers should be assured that this truly is a Connecticut book. The authors do not discriminate in favor of the oft-traversed northwest region. Connecticut hikers would do well to have this guide in their backpack.

3 comments about The Getaway Guide to Agatha Christie's England (Getaway Guides).
- Charmingly written as if the author is sharing tea with the reader. So whether you actually head to Christie's England or stay in your comfy armchair, this is a nice way to bring literature to life. Actual locations from Christie's stories are pinpointed. Explanations are provided for some aspects of British life that have Americans puzzled. One could really explore London or Harrogate or other Christie places with the assistance of addresses and phone numbers included. Maps provided are okay for the armchair traveller. Towns and villages outside of London are given as much attention as suggestions in the city. I can't wait to ride the Orient Express myself!!
- This book received favorable reviews in the travel section of several major newspapers in the U.S. and in England: The New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Wall Street Journal, a number of regional newspapers and best of all, in the Sunday Times of London.
- Numerous books have been written regarding the Queen of Mystery, Agatha Christie. The majority of these books are those that expound upon her stories and relate almost solely to her mysteries. "The Getaway Guide to Agatha Christie's England" by Judith Hurdle is unique in that it explores the places Christie lived and loved, and also used within her novels, however disguised in her descriptions.
After a brief overview of Agatha Christie's life, the book is divided into three categories. The first two deal with sights to see in London and then the towns and locales beyond London. Hurdle lists former residences of the author (whether still standing or not), favorite shops and places to eat, and memorably offers two possible real settings for the imagined hotel in "At Bertram's Hotel". One memorable section is devoted to the British Museum, which has a collection of artifacts from Christie's second husband that she helped assemble and clean. In the section dealing with towns and locations outside of London, Hurdle examines how important trains were to the author (and which ones are still in service today), her beloved town of Torquay, and her literary trips abroad. The book finishes with a Getaway Guide, offering practicalities of traveling to see the places mentioned in the book, with sample itineraries to follow.
Judith Hurdle has done a commendable job in condensing the vast array of homes, towns, memorials and artifacts that there are to see that have some connection to Agatha Christie. As an avid mystery reader, she is able to pull quotes and scenes out of novels that use these various places as their settings. "The Getaway Guide to Agatha Christie's England" is essentially a travel book, but it also works as a companion to the places Agatha Christie lived and loved and always included in her novels.

2 comments about The Rough Guide to Devon and Cornwall 2 (Rough Guide Travel Guides).
- We just completed a two week trip to Cornwall, and used this guide extensively. We found it accurate and meticulous, a rare event. For travel, our favorites have been the Michelin Green guides because they are light, compact, and carry an extraordinary amount of information. This guide meets all those criteria. We particularly appreciated the maps... so many guides have good information, but no maps... and this really slows a tourist down! Great book!
- I was actually searching for pictures and pictures but...there wasn't worth much to see.
No pictures of the lovely coastal green fields.lovely cliffs.
very disapointed.
A lot of information and words but not enough visual stuff.
Not worth to buy.

2 comments about Forest Under My Fingernails: Reflections and Encounters on the Long Trail.
- A wonderful book to read before you go backpacking to grasp what might be expected on a long trip. It was packed with information about the interactions between people and nature. It was interesting to read while giving me insight on the trail. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys nature and backpacking!
- I have not read a book that more accurately describes the long (medium)distance hiking experience better. In addition it is one of the best descriptions of the LT found. I finshed a section hike of the Long Trail last October and reading this book took me back to the joys and troubles, the shelters and summits. A great read
