- I bought this book thirteen years ago and still treasure it. Though the information on each cathedral is, at times, overly extensive for the layman, it's nonetheless an informative, enjoyable read that will make you marvel at the incredibly beautiful and inspiring architecture of medieval churches.
Ah, if only churches nowadays were built in the same style (and with the same dedication and enthusiasm) as they were in the Middle Ages. The photographs in the book are outstanding so it will also make a terrific coffee table accent.

- This book has many interesting short stories in Maine and gives valuable locations to look.This is a must read for anyone that is treasure hunting. Thanks
- While this book has some interesting information, the organization of the book is haphazard and the writers interviewing style is poor and rather amatuerish with too many self-referential asides which distract from the account he is trying to present.
- This book is a delight for all who love to search for treasures, and indeed, there is so much to be found in Maine. Gold, minerals, Indian artifacts, coins - to name but a few. Also, many inventive treasure-hunters tell their stories. I highly recommend The Buried Treasures of Maine.

- This thing is a wonderful idea. But reading the discription and seeing the item are two different things. First, although it computes the distance between "11,000" locations, it does it with many maps, broken down by region on many different pages. also, its incredibly fimsly, and for the price, feels like it will fall apart on the first road trip.
- We had a distance finder for years and misplaced it the new one is just as nice as the old great product.
