1. I've been reading Sandra Soule's B&B and Inn books for years; they've all been a delight! I have a large library of B&B books and Sandra's are always my favorite, and this one is now on the top of my list. What makes her books exceptional, to me, are the honest descriptions and comments from people like you and me who have actually stayed at each inn/B&B, and in their own words. My husband and I have been avid inngoers for over 25 years, and this, her latest, will once again be the source we use to choose where to stay .. we travel all over the U.S., for business as well as pleasure, and this book is invaluable, especially in unfamiliar places we venture to. The book also lists addresses, tel numbers, innkeeper's names, any restrictions, and of course very good descriptions of each inn and B&B. It's laid out in an easy to use format. Even if we never make it to all of the places she has in her book, it makes for wonderful "dreamtime" reading. Here's a brief example: "Breakfast was served in the formal dining room at a table beautifully set with crystal, silver, candles and fresh flowers. Shirley is a gourmet cook." Here's another: "The terry robes were a nice touch, as was the brandy, chocolate, and fresh towels at bedtime." This book (like all of Sandra Soule's books) is simply the best!

1. Not quite up to Living in Paris..a bit disappointing. It was fine up until most of the design showcases of homes. It would have been more of a treasure had it been stronger on the Province of Quebec and more highlights on all the things in Montreal and Quebec City.

1. Usefull map for a large view, easy for traveling plan. But I use also my GPS for local maps...

1. Unfortunely, I find only one problem with this map book and that is: You can't see the whole state you might be wanting to see. Other than that, it is nice.



2. Organizing by geography and consistent scale is really the way to go. It makes it so easy to use. Points of interest are extensive. There are plenty of blow ups of cities. The maps are very clear to read. And best of all, size. It fits in your glove box and is eady to hold!



3. As a European myself, this map was a cut above the usual USA maps I've used - it's just more intuitive to use pages which link up and do not just focus on state-by-state sections.
   
   Good overall detail, and a lot of detail maps of towns too. Has saved me a lot of time when used with my GPS.



4. this is an outstanding atlas for one very important reason: they label every state and federal park, national monument, historic site, wildlife refuge, senic route, for the United States and Canada. When you are on the road, this is important. Milage between cities is listed in tiny type. There are maps of individual cities for those who need them. The atlas is the size of a notebook, so it is convenient to hold and store. Highly recommended.



5. I bought an earlier edition of this altas for brothers, and nephews as a Christmas gift a few years back. They all love it because of the convenient size and the geographic organization. So, I bought one for myself and I am ready to hit the road, or simply sit back and dream about a road trip!
